FARGO (KFGO-AM) A worker was struck and injured by a car in the 25th Street construction zone in South Fargo Tuesday about 9:30 a.m.
Eyewitnesses say the victim, who works for a sidewalk contractor, was crossing 25th Street on a green light at an unprotected location near Doolittles when he was hit.
He was transported by ambulance to the hospital with head and hip injuries. His condition is not available.
North Dakota D-O-T spokesman Joe Peryl says it's the first serious injury accident since work began on the project last spring and happened on the last day of work.
