WASHINGTON (AP) -- Members of North Dakota's congressional delegation say they plan to press federal officials for more information about a tanker derailment and fiery explosion outside of Casselton. Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp and Republican Sen. John Hoeven are expected to meet with federal officials, including Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, on Thursday. Heitkamp and Hoeven say they're trying to gather more information and are interested in finding the best way to transport oil.
They say they're concerned about the impact of recent accidents and are expressing concern for North Dakota residents who live along the path of oil tankers. In addition to Foxx, both senators plan to meet with Cythnia Quarterman.
She is the pipeline and hazardous materials safety administration administrator.
