Bismarck, N.D. (AP) The second of two men accused of conspiring to kill a South Dakota man in North Dakota was sentenced Thursday to life in prison. 21-year-old Joshua Clark was found guilty in July for his role in the killing of 18-year-old John Swain.
Swain was reported missing in May 2013 after moving to Bismarck from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in search of work.
Clark's co-defendant, 26-year-old Theo Crowe, pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to commit murder and was sentenced in January to life in prison.
Authorities say Clark and Crowe lured swain into a Bismarck home, hit him with a hammer and cut off his legs.
Authorities say Swain's body was found at the home of Crowe's grandmother in Poplar, Montana.
