WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- West Fargo Police Chief Arland Rasmussen plans to retire this summer. Rasmussen says his wife is also retiring and it's time for them to relax and spend time together.
Rasmussen says the department is admired and recognized by other law enforcement agencies as a progressive leader. He says the department is well-staffed, trained and equipped and has excellent leadership in place.
Rasmussen has been chief the past 19-years. He plans to retire in mid-June.
