A fire that damaged a Moorhead apartment building appears to have been set.
Firefighters responded to the call around 6:30 a.m. Monday at 2408 3rd Avenue North. Fire Chief Rich Duysen says crews got a quick knockdown of the fire, burning on the landing between the second and third floors.
He tells KFGO News they found a "liquid pour pattern" on the stairs. He says it doesn't appear to be accidental.
Parts of the 3 story brick building had smoke damage and some residents may be displaced. Tenants say they were awakened by smoke alarms and scurried out in hallways that were rapidly filled with smoke. No injuries were reported.
