Fargo, N.D. (AP) A 58-year-old inmate has died at the Cass County jail.
Sergeant Tara Morris with the sheriff's office says Charles Bliss died around 6:48 a.m. Sunday. Bliss was being housed at the jail on a fugitive warrant from Washington state.
Morris says Bliss drew the attention of a corrections officer after breakfast and indicated he was having medical problems. Bliss became unconscious while jail staff initiated emergency procedures and called 911.
Emergency personnel responded to the jail, but their lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.
Morris says all evidence indicates that bliss's death is related to a medical condition. An autopsy is being conducted by the state's medical examiner.
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
