FARGO (KFGO-AM) Fargo police, the F.B.I. and the A.T.F are investigating "strong similarities" between the armed robbery of Mr.Money in Fargo and the November robbery of a Mr. Money store in West Fargo. Two men entered the store on 25th Street South around 9:30 Tuesday morning. At least one was armed with a pistol.
They demanded money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A wide-scale police search of the surrounding area didn't turn up any trace of the two.
Lt. Joel Vettel says payday loan stores are becoming popular targets by robbers because of the amount of money on hand.
Police say the robber's are black, wore masks and gloves and spoke with accents. There were no injuries to two employees and a customer in the store at the time.
