Bismarck, N.D. (AP) A Bismarck man accused of firing a gun into a neighboring apartment has been sentenced to a year in prison.
24-year-old Christopher Wise spirit pleaded guilty on Friday to reckless endangerment and possession of a prohibited firearm.
Wise spirit is a convicted felon and is barred from owning or possessing a gun.
The charges stem from a June 12th incident, in which a Bismarck man reported a bullet going through his apartment, damaging a cupboard and some patio door blinds.
Wise spirit told police at the time that he was holding the gun and contemplating suicide but was unsure how it went off.
