Fargo, N.D. (AP) A possible future political star in North Dakota has rubbed elbows with Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio and has visions of one day starting his own version of the Tea Party.
And he's only in eighth grade.
Thirteen-year-old Jed Thomas, of Fargo, had a chance to meet Rubio this month when the Florida senator came to town for a Republican fundraiser. Former U.S. Rep Rick Berg says Jed was the "perfect little gentleman'' who had several good questions.
The Sullivan Middle School student says he likes the tea party because though it's one big movement, not everybody shares the exact ideals. He says that while holding office someday "would be awesome,'' he just wants to be involved in politics.
