FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The Cass County State's Attorney's office has charged FOX television Sports Director Jim Nelson with felony aggravated assault.
Nelson, who joined the station about three years ago, is accused of punching and breaking the nose of a man at a party in August. Nelson had earlier pleaded guilty to obstructing Fargo police.
Officers found the injured man in a parking lot outside an apartment building where the party was held.
In a statement, KVRR News Director Lezlie Johnson said "We are currently looking into the matter and are aware of the allegations regarding Jim Nelson. We are not prepared to discuss anything further at this time."
