Fargo, N.D. (AP) The president of North Dakota State University says the school plans to hire more professors and work toward building its graduate enrollment.
Dean Bresciani said in his annual state of the university speech Thursday that the increase in teachers will be "one of the most significant additions to our faculty ranks in NDSU history.'' he did not give specific numbers.
Bresciani said NDSU will increase graduate student enrollment both to improve the environment at the university and to meet a demand expressed by state business leaders. He said graduate numbers at peer institutions are a quarter to a third of their student bodies, and NDSU is at 14 percent.
The president closed his speech by touting the return of the popular ESPN College Gameday football show to downtown Fargo.
