WEST FARGO, ND (KFGO-AM) - A Michigan company has applied for a permit to establish an opioid addiction program in West Fargo.
The ND Department of Human Services says there's a growing need for programs that specialize in heroin and prescription drug addictions.
Joanne Hoesel is director of the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Hoesel says if approved, the West Fargo facility could be the first of its kind in the state. She says treatment program permits are also being applied for in Minot and in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
The West Fargo City Commission is scheduled to discuss the proposal Monday.
