CROOKSTON, MINN. (KFGO-AM) Michael Perry, charged with shooting at Polk County deputies last month, was in court in Crookston Thursday.
The 23-year old is charged with four counts of first degree attempted murder.
According to court records, Perry was perched in a second floor window with a 22-caliber rifle and began shooting at deputies, hitting 2 of them in their bullet proof vests.
The officers had responded to a 9-1-1 call at the family farm reporting that Perry was drunk and firing guns.
Perry was shot in the leg and surrendered after trying to flee the farm in a pickup.
He's due in court again next month. He remains in jail on a bond of $1 million.
