Bismarck, N.D. (AP) More than 34,000 students in dozens of North Dakota schools will lunch on products from their own state Wednesday.
The products that will be served to students during the annual Pride Of Dakota School Lunch Day have been grown by North Dakota farmers and ranchers and processed by local businesses.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says this event helps students learn how their food is raised and produced.
The menus have been prepared by the Department of Instruction. The lunches will be served at more 130 schools across the state.
