WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A teenage boy hoping to get a date with dancer is accused of calling 911 twice to report a fire. Assistant West Fargo Police Chief Mike Reitan says the 18-year old high school student was trying to get dance practice at the Lodoen Community Center cancelled because a dancer told him if he could get practice cancelled she'd go out on a date with him.
Police caught the teen after tracing the calls to two businesses. Employees were able to give officers a description of the vehicle the 911 caller left in, and a partial license plate number.
The boy may face charges of harassment, or improper use of 911. The Cass County States Attorney's Office will determine charges.
