MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- A developer is looking at converting a vacant space in Moorhead into a multi–venue entertainment complex.
A strip mall at 8th St. and 30th Ave. South has served as a Sunmart, dollar store and a variety of other business.
Plans in the project include a sports bar, brewery, bowling lanes, laser tag and a banquet room for corporate events.
Moorhead City council has approved his proposal and is granting a property tax break of about $95,000 over 5 years.
Moorhead Economic Development Director Matt Maslowski "The nearest similar facility like this is about 220 miles away from us so if you think about that radius and what we could potentially draw is huge, and will bring a lot of new business into Moorhead."
With the approval of the city, the plan is to open the facility in nine to twelve months.
