VALLEY CITY (KFGO-AM) -- The freshman class of Valley City State University will once again harvest squash for the needy.
The harvest will take place on a farm owned by Dan Faust on Thursday. Faust, a retired Lutheran Pastor, grows the squash for the Great Plains Food Bank.
This year’s harvest will be the fourth consecutive year for the event.
Last year, VCSU students harvested more than 47,000 pounds of squash.
