FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A judge has ruled in favor of the city of Moorhead in a legal dispute over ownership of the northside toll bridge.
The city sued saying shareholders of The Bridge Company falsely claimed that they hadn't been making a profit because the bridge had to be closed so many times over the years because of flooding. They wanted an extension to recoup their losses. Fargo City Commissioners agreed to an extension and asked that the lawsuit be dismissed.
A Cass County District court judge has decided that the lease with the company is up. The 25-year lease agreement with the cities expired last February.
A lawyer for the Bridge Company says he hasn't had a chance to speak with his clients about a possible appeal.
