FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Local veterans got a chance to voice their opinions on the current state of Veterans Affairs.

The VA held a town hall meeting in Fargo where representatives, veterans and their families had an open forum to ask and answer questions about operations and programs.

The main focus for locals was on medications and the billing process of medical care from VA partners.

Officials say it's always good to hear the voices of the community and establish good communication.

Fargo VA Medical Center Director Lavonne Liversage says, "Nationwide there's been issues with the veterans and their trust with our healthcare systems. So this was a good opportunity for us. Just one more step we can do to instill the trust the veterans have and should have with our organization."

The VA held similar town hall meetings across the country.

In other states, there are many concerns about accessibility to health care centers.
