FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A storm system that stalled out over western and central North Dakota dumped 10.5 inches of rain near Dunn Center. Golden Valley had 9 inches. Up to 8 inches was reported in the Dickinson area. The National Weather Service in Bismarck says 5 to 6 inch totals were common across that part of the state.
North of New York Mills, in Otter Tail County, 7 inches of rain was reported. Several rural roads were overtopped and damaged by flash flooding.
Four miles west of Kindred, 5.75 inches. Nearly 4 inches was reported at Colfax.
Saturday afternoon , a funnel cloud was reported west of Litchville in Barnes County. Funnels were also reported near Cogswell and Forman in Sargent county. Saturday night, near Davenport, a huge tent at a wedding reception was toppled and a 100 by 100 foot shed was blown down by winds estimated at 60 to 70 mph. no injuries were reported.
