LAKEVILLE, Minn. (AP) - A man who has lived quietly with his wife and children in a Minneapolis suburb for years has been indicted in a Texas slaying of more than 30 years ago.
Police in Denton, Texas, say Robert A. Otteson was arrested Tuesday in Minnesota by local authorities and Texas investigators.
Authorities say 42-year-old Francisco Narvaez, of San Antonio, Texas, was found stabbed to death in a Denton motel room in 1983. Tips and leads on the case eventually went cold.
Denton police say new leads and evidence led to the indictment of the 53-year-old Otteson.
The indictment is dated Friday. It says Otteson is charged with intentional murder, with bond set at $300,000.
