ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says he'll work on the campaign to bring the World Fair to Minnesota when he leaves office.
Ritchie decided against seeking another term as state secretary and will leave the office after the general election. Ritchie says he's worked on the advisory committee with former Vice President Walter Mondale and others to bring the World Fair to Minnesota in 2023 and will devote his time to the effort after he leaves office.
As for Ritchie's job, DFL state Rep. Steve Simon will face Republican Dan Severson in the general election.
