REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) - Minn. Gov. Mark Dayton is backing the University of Minnesota's desire to keep the Washington Redskins' nickname from being used at TCF Bank Stadium.
Dayton says the term "Redskins" is a "terrible name" and says the university should have a voice in the issue.
The Vikings are playing home games at TCF Bank Stadium the next two seasons while their new stadium is being built.
The Redskins are scheduled to play the Vikings at home in November.
