WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO-AM) A man has been sentenced to prison for six years for an attack at a Wahpeton business in May of last year.
Christopher Yellow Earrings, 21, of Peever, South Dakota apologized and said he didn't remember anything about what took place. Police say they think Yellow Earrings was high on drugs when he attacked an employee at Family Dollar Store in downtown Wahpeton. He was armed with a scissors. There were six customers including children in the store at the time. A police officer suffered a cut to a hand.
Southeast District Judge Brad Cruff called Yellow Earrings a "timebomb" as he imposed the sentence.
