WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A man was arrested early Wednesday in West Fargo after taking a friend's car during a traffic stop.
Police say Jean Roubideaux, 25, rammed a squad car and then led police on a brief pursuit. He crashed four blocks away after hitting a street sign and ran but was caught after a brief struggle with officers.
A backpack Roubideaux tossed during the foot chase contained a loaded gun and burglary tools. He's charged with possession of a concealed weapon, assault on a police officer, attempted burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and fleeing. He was also wanted on a minnesota department of corrections warrant. Roubideaux has no permanent address.
