MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) - Some questions are still unanswered as Oakport Township prepares to be annexed into Moorhead January 1st.

Some residents are wondering if hunting will still be allowed in area's of the rural township where it is now legal. Moorhead City Council member Nancy Otto said some property owners are worried about being overrun by deer if the herd is not kept in check.

Otto said the deer eat flowers, ruin gardens and are so bold they're coming up on porches.

Police Chief Dave Ebinger and the city attorney are drafting a hunting ordinance the City Council will review. Otto says the proposed ordinance will likely allow a limited bow hunt.
