FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A judge has set bond at $5,000 for a West Fargo woman charged in the death of her four day-old son.
Reanne Pederson, 31, is charged with negligent homicide. West Fargo Police say she admitted to snorting hydrocodone while breastfeeding the newborn. She said she likely fell asleep and awoke to find the baby not breathing. Pederson also said that she had smoked methamphetamine days before she gave birth.
The child died on June 14. Cass County prosecutors unsuccessfully asked for a higher bond and that Pederson be ordered to take part in the "24-7" program where people must report to jail twice a day to be tested for alcohol.
