MetroSource Network (KFGO-AM) -- There are more true crime tales to tell in "Fargo" - "youbetcha." The FX Network is giving the greenlight to a second season of thelimited-run series based on the Coen brothers' 1996 big screen cult classic.
At the Television Critics Association Press Tour on Monday, thenetwork shared that a new storyline with a new cast of characters wouldunfold over the course of ten episodes.
Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and Allison Tolman shored up the cast for "Fargo's" first season, which recently picked up 18 Emmy nominations. FX CEO John Landgraf said in a statement that as "heartbreaking" as it is not to have the season one castreturn, "Fargo" demands more "realism" than FX's "American Horror Story"series, which features some of the same actors taking on new roles indifferent storylines each season.
FX also announced the renewal of Louis C.K.'s Emmy-nominated "Louie" for afifth season. The seven-episode season will begin rolling out in the springof 2015.
