FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A Fargo man has been arrested on charges of having prescription medication taken from Thrifty White Pharmacy in downtown Breckenridge, Minn. in what was first reported as an armed robbery Wed. afternoon.
Christopher McCourt, 33, was arrested in Fargo by members of the Cass County Drug Task Force and agents with Parole and Probation and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Police Chief Nate Harder says McCourt is accused of taking the medication from the counter. He's in the Cass County Jail on charges of possession of stolen property.
Harder says it's likely that he'll also face felony charges in Wilkin County. The robbery report led police to surround the pharmacy and call in a "SWAT" team.
Officers entered the store after about three hours only to discover that no one was inside.
