BRECKENRIDGE, MN. (KFGO-AM) -- Police Chief Nate Harder says investigators have identified a suspect in what was reported as an armed robbery at Thrifty White Pharmacy in downtown Breckenridge, but no one has been arrested.
Harder says interviews with witnesses and store employees have now established that no gun was shown when a man entered the drug store and no shots were fired. Police surrounded the business Wed. night and a heavily-armed special response team eventually moved in after about three hours. They found no one inside.
Harder says in all of the excitement, it was difficult at the time to get a clear picture of what actually transpired.
He says law enforcement is familiar with the man considered a suspect. At this point, Harder does not anticipate that robbery charges will be filed.
