DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) - Authorities are preparing to charge a correctional officer accused of having sexual contact with an inmate at the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center in Devils Lake.
The male officer allegedly had sexual contact with a female inmate in a jail cell on July 3.
Prosecutors are preparing to file a sexual assault charge that carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison.
