FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The Fargo Department has a new state of the art vehicle.
Asst. Fire Chief Leroy Skarloken says the combination rescue-pumper truck is designed to not only pump water, it but has a lot of specialized equipment to handle everything from crashes to building collapses.
The rescue pumper took a year to build. It cost $479,000. The price tag does not include on-board equipment.
Before the vehicle is put into service, communications gear has to be installed, and crew training needs to be completed.
