FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A three year old boy fell off a 2nd floor balcony in south Fargo Wednesday afternoon, and some neighbors are upset about how the boy's family handled the situation.
It happened in the 1100 block of 44th St.
The boy's family didn't want anyone to call the authorities. Diane Roscoe, who lives in the same buliding on the 1st floor, says she heard the child hit the ground and noticed he was unable to move and appeared to be in extreme pain. She says she kept yelling for the parents but nobody came. When the family finally arrived, they grabbed the boy, took him inside, and demanded that Roscoe not call the police. However, she did call and crews arrived and took the child away in an ambulance.
The boy was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
There were reports that a language barrier may have caused communication problems.
