Morris, Minn. (KFGO-AM MNN) -- Charges against the Morris Area High School principal have been dropped.
36-year-old Craig Peterson was charged with sexual misconduct conduct after prosecutors said that he had non-consensual sex with an acquaintance at his Morris home last December. The Stevens County attorney filed a dismissal after new evidence was reviewed.
Peterson says he hopes his ordeal ultimately becomes a "teachable moment." Peterson says he hopes dismissal of charges reaffirms trust in him as an educator and principal.
Peterson had been on paid administrative leave since Dec. 23.
