FARGO (KFGO AM) - Fargo City Auditor Steve Sprague says it's not something the city Liquor Control Committee see's too often. The owner of Seasons at Rose Creek is asking for permission to transfer its "on-off" sale alcohol beverage license to Happy Harry's.

Owner Hal Gershman needs the license for the third Fargo liquor store he plans on 53rd Avenue South. Sprague says Gershman had to seek out a current license holder willing to sell a license because that type is capped and the city has none to offer.

If issued through the city, that license would cost $150,000. Sprague says Seasons owner Earlyne Hector is also applying for a new liquor license that will allow the golf course and restaurant to continue offering alcohol sales. That "F-A Golf" license will cost $60,000.
