WHEATON, MINNESOTA (KFGO-AM) -- The Traverse County Sheriff's Office says a customer helped catch a bank robber last Friday.
Robert Woods, Junior, 33, of Browns Valley, formerly of Wisconsin, is being held on aggravated robbery charges.
Chief Deputy Trevor Wright says a customer followed Woods to Sisseton. He told authorities he saw the robber get on a motorcyle after ditching the S-U-V that he fled the bank in. Roberts County, S.D. Deputies spotted the cycle and chased it into Richland County where the chase ended.
Wright says authorities recovered the handgun used to hold up Union State Bank in Browns Valley.
Woods will likely face federal bank robbery charges.
