FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Midcontinent Communications should be able to start providing cable television and internet service to limited area's of Fargo by mid-July.
Clay Stephens, Midcontinent's Director of Regional Operations says the company started laying lines in two area's of Fargo three weeks ago. As those sections are completed and activated, Stephens says home and business subscribers can get service.
Midcontinent is spending $55 million to expand to Fargo. Stephens says the optic lines are the best in the company's service area. City wide installation will take 3 to 4 years to complete. Stephens says Fargo prices will be the same as Moorhead and West Fargo where it already provides service. Up until now, Cable One has been the only cable provider in Fargo, other than satellite t-v.
The first sections now under construction are in and around the Industrial Park and area's just to the east of I-29 between Main Avenue and I-94.
