FARGO (KFGO-AM) - 68 cats have been pulled from a south Fargo home. Police say by the time the case is resolved, more than 100 cats, many of them feral, will have been removed.
The extreme case of animal hoarding was discovered 3 weeks ago and is taking longer than expected because of the sheer number of cats that are being live-trapped.
Some of the animals are being taken to local shelters. Others that are sick or to wild to be adopted are being euthanized. Police say it's not likely the owner will be cited due to some "health issues." Lt. Joel Vettel says by far, it's the worst case of animal hoarding he can recall.
