WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO AM) -- Work is getting underway on the new Legacy Elementary School in West Fargo.
It will be the third school that will be built south of I-94.
The $12 million project is made possible thanks to a bond referendum passed by voters.
School leaders say they never planned to have three elementary schools, but unprecedented growth made it necessary.
West Fargo has been gaining 400 to 500 students a year.
The school is expected to open in the fall of 2015.
